Motivation for The Mind

Fear often grips us before we can take action. In order to reach your goals it’s pivotal to overcome fear. If you evaluate your current state and find yourself dissatisfied with it, it’s time to get up and DO something. No one is going to do it for you. Stop listening to the voices in your head saying it’s impossible or impractical, disregard the comments of those that don’t believe in your ability, and turn on your “I CAN” attitude. No sitting back and complaining, no whining, no more excuses! Set that goal and stick with it. You have to adopt the mindset that you can do it, therefore you will do it. Often times we find ourselves being defeated before we get started and fail ever making any moves towards our goals. You must become active in order to achieve. Motivation, though not a verb, is an active state of mind. Think of the things you are most passionate about. Maybe it’s something you’ve been wanting to do for a long time, but for one reason or another, just haven’t started. Envision yourself being that title or finally losing those pounds. Get to that positive mental state and let it drive you. At this point you might feel inclined to begin working, searching, and seeking. If not, where can you gain this inclination?

We all need to be life long learners. There’s no cut off age for acquiring new knowledge, so perseverance in doing so is necessary. What halts the quest for knowledge in most people is the fear of failure or lack of motivation or being satisfied with settling.  We have a tendency to talk ourselves out of “new” things or “unknown” endeavors because we build tasks up to mountains that we couldn’t possibly climb. For this reason it is necessary to break giant tasks down into little baby tasks. Then, take them on, one at a time.  Once you get to the point where you are doing everything you can to reach your gaols, you can be satisfied with who you are in that area. Once you come to be content with your efforts, you can find happiness in any area of life. Find your happiness, YOUR motivation, YOUR inspiration….we ALONE are responsible for our SELF. We alone are responsible for the choices we make that get us from point A to point B. Make the choices that will lead you in the right direction, greatness and the best YOU…you can be for yourself, this in turn will bleed into other areas of your life. Stand firm on making choices that will help you attain goals through your own personal growth, strength and awareness. You only have one life make it the best for you and it naturally becomes the best you give of yourself to others.
